Step 1: Open the Two PDF Drawings
- Open both drawings you want to compare.
- If they’re multi-page PDFs, navigate to the specific pages you need to compare.
Step 2: Click on ‘Compare Drawings’
- If multiple files are open, select the correct pages for comparison.
- Click ‘Start Compare’.
Step 3: Understand the Color Codes
- Black: Indicates content that is identical in both drawings.
- Red: Content exclusive to Drawing A.
- Green: Content exclusive to Drawing B.
Step 4: Resolve Scale or Position Issues
- PDF drawings may have different scales or positions. To fix this:
- Click ‘Set Reference Points’.
- Select two points on Drawing A that also exist on Drawing B.
Tips for Accurate Alignment:
- Choose points that are far apart to improve scale accuracy.
- Zoom in when selecting points for better precision.
- Ensure the points are selected in the same order on both drawings.
Step 5: Generate Accurate Results
Once aligned, click ‘Compare’ again to get precise results.
Step 6: Save and Share
- A new file with differences clearly marked will be created.
- You can annotate, share, or view this file in other software for further analysis
