- Before extract any measurement from drawing, assign scale to check on the unit and dimension to avoid mistake.
1)Opening Drawings
a) CAD Reader supports various file formats, including dwg, dxf, pdf, zip, and rar. If you receive a CAD drawing file in WhatsApp, click on the file then select the ‘Send to’ icon at the bottom left of your screen.

A) Common tools
- Draw Straight Line: After clicking, you can draw straight lines on the drawing. The drawn lines can measure length, and if they form a closed shape, the area can also be measured. The drawn lines can intersect with the original lines on the drawing, creating intersection points that can be captured for future measurements.
- Cloud Line: After clicking, you can annotate cloud lines anywhere on the drawing.
- Leader Line: After clicking, you can annotate leader lines anywhere on the drawing.
- Rectangle: After clicking, you can annotate rectangles anywhere on the drawing.
- Ellipse: After clicking, you can annotate ellipses anywhere on the drawing.
- Freeform Line: After clicking, you can annotate freeform lines anywhere on the drawing.
- Text: After clicking, you can write text and place it in the desired location. Both single-line and multi-line text can be added.
- Auto Numbering: Allow user to insert text and come after with auto numbering

B) Measurement tools

- Measure Length: Measure the distance between two points on the drawing to facilitate quantity calculations.
- Continuous Measurement: Use the left mouse button to select straight lines or arcs for continuous length measurement. Right-click to end the measurement, then left-click to place the measurement result. Note: For straight lines, click the endpoints; for arcs, click the arc itself.
- Area and Lateral Area: Use the left mouse button to select straight lines or arcs to form a closed shape and measure its area. Click again to place the measurement result. After measuring the area, you can measure the lateral area. Enter the height and click "Calculate" to view the base area, lateral area, and combined base + lateral area.
- Angle: Select two straight lines to quickly measure the angle between them.
- Arc Length: Use the left mouse button to click on an arc to measure its length. If it’s an arc, the cursor will turn into a small white square when hovered over; for polylines, the cursor will not change.
- Radius: Measure the radius of a circle. Use the left mouse button to select the circle, then click again to place the measurement result.
- Coordinates: Measure the coordinate values on the drawing to facilitate quantity calculations.
- Scale: After clicking, select a line segment of known length on the drawing to set the measurement scale. This is commonly used in layout measurements and detail drawings.
